HGPL is an agriculture business consulting, agri-foods processing, crop protection products production, and a farming company.

About Us

Hills Global Projects Limited (HGPL) started as a homestead fish farm and garden in 1996 and by 2006 had grown into a commercial integrated fish farm, poultry, snail farm, and crops farm, poultry and fish feed production company in Lagos state, Nigeria.

HGPL had acquired agriculture business design and implementation processes knowledge and experience when, in 2006, HGPL got registered as a for-profit agriculture business company and started agriculture business consulting, training, agriculture projects implementation and commercial farms design and construction for individuals, corporate entities, and international organizations. During this period HGPL implemented on-farm aquaculture training workshops for secondary school pupils from the then Niger-Delta region of Nigeria that was ravaged by insecurity.

The company also implemented a world bank assisted training workshops on prawn farming, catfish farming, micro and small business capacity building for rural and sub-urban households in Lagos and Ogun states of Nigeria. HGPL designed and constructed a $200 million integrated farm for Thomas Beckett Farms Ltd in Ogun state, Nigeria.

HGPL also designed and constructed an integrated earthen pond and concrete tank fish farms for Izombe and Ezi-Orsu communities of Imo state as remediation intervention projects for petroleum exploration and exploitation the beneficial communities.

Between 2016 and 2021, HGPL trained and supported 6,000 rural households in Ogun state, Nigeria on sweet potato farming and 3,000 farmers on grasscutter (cane rat) farming. This project was supported with a grant from Africa Enterprise Challenge Fund (AECF). These farmers are, today, our primary input source of sweet potato tubers and grasscutters for our sweet potato flour, frozen sweet potato chips (fries) and grasscutter processing plants in Ogun state, Nigeria.

As our out-grower farmers we continue to support them to assure quality farming yields. Through this project we pioneered the production of sweet potato ‘french fries’ with fresh sweet potato tubers, the sort after Hills Frozen Sweet Potato Chips.
